Golfer Kim Si-woo Returns to PGA's Top 10
Kim Si-woo is back in the U.S. PGA Tour’s top 10 after a six month absence caused by a back injury.
Kim finished third with a 15-under 269 at the OHL Classic in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico on Monday. Patton Kizzire of the U.S. won with a 19-under 265, followed by his compatriot Rickie Fowler at 18 under par.
After winning the PGA Tour Players Championship in May, Kim participated in 14 competitions but failed to crack the top 10. He suffered a back injury in November last year, but neglected to seek prompt treatment and continued to play, causing his condition to worsen and hurting his performance.
With regular physical therapy and strength training, however, he finally regained consistency in his stroke play, allowing him to rejoin the leaders.
