IU's New Single Sets Streaming Record
Singer IU set a new streaming record on Korea's largest music site with her latest single released on Wednesday.
Her management agency Kakao M said on Thursday that the song was streamed more than 1.42 million times in 23 hours on music site Melon, the largest number in a 24-hour period, after taking just 16 hours to reach 1 million streamings.
The single, which was released to commemorate the 10th anniversary of IU's debut, is a playful song about those who rudely cross the line in social relationships.
IU will start an Asian tour late this month, staging concerts in Busan, Gwangju and Seoul in Korea, and going to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taipei in December.
