Ryu Hyun-jin to Get Chance to Send Dodgers into World Series
Ryu Hyun-jin of the Los Angeles Dodgers will start the sixth game of the National League Championship Series in an away game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday.
The Dodgers are one win away from their second straight World Series appearance thanks to a 5-2 home win over the Brewers in the fifth game on Wednesday. The Dodgers won two consecutive games at home to take a 3-2 series lead.
Saturday's game will be Ryu's sixth career playoff appearance, lining up against Brewers pitcher Wade Miley, but he has yet to appear in the World Series.
Ryu was left off the roster during the Dodgers' World Series loss to the Houston Astros last season.
In a surprise move, Ryu started the first game of the National League Division Series against the Atlanta Braves in early October. He posted a win, giving up no runs and four hits in seven innings.
He was out for three months at the beginning of this season with a strained groin before returning to action in August.
