College Entrance Exam Takers to Brave Freezing Morning

Sub-zero temperatures are expected in Seoul on Thursday when students take the college entrance exam.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said Monday that morning lows on Thursday are expected to be two to five degrees Celsius lower than previous years.

The KMA forecast morning lows of -5 degrees in Chuncheon, -1 in Seoul, 0 in Daejeon and Daegu, 2 in Gwangju and 3 in Busan.

But daytime highs will rise to nine to degrees in Seoul, Gwangju, Daegu and Busan.

"The weather will be cold in the morning, but temperatures are expected to return to normal levels in the afternoon so students are advised to wear layered clothes," a weatherman said.
